What is Amazon Heart Thunder?
In 2004 twenty young breast cancer survivors challenged themselves to a 1,000 mile ride on Harley-Davidson motorcycles from San Diego to San Francisco, California. Along the way they formed life long friendships, gained support and strength in dealing with their breast cancer experience, and raised vital funds for and awareness of breast cancer issues.
The first ride, called "Changing Gears", expanded in 2005 to become a Global Relay with 1,000 mile rides in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia, involving 48 young breast cancer survivors from around the world. In 2006 rides will again roll out across the world with a new name - Amazon Heart Thunder - as part of Amazon Heart's range of adventures for breast cancer survivors.

My mommy R-O-C-K-S! My Mommy is Gigi McKay, but I call her "Mom." I'm proud of my mom and her new sisters. You all R-O-C-K! Have a fun and safe ride. Take care of Mommy. I'm putting extra hugs under my pillow for her. When she gets back, Daddy said I can clobber her with my pillow. Love Harley Amber McKay

So I'm sure you are all wondering what Tia's boyfriend does while she's away.
Well after feeding her 2 cats. I came home and fed my 7 cats.
And now I get to sit here in my underwear and eat some Kellogs Corn Pops. Yummy.

Hey girls,
Read all the updates from today, what an amazing journey! I remember the sea lions near San Simeon, such a surprise to just come around the bend and see and hear them, love the babies!I know we will all be changed by this incredible experience, what an honour to be part of it and join the ranks of AH sisters. I finish work tomorrow and I am really starting to get excited now about joining the Aussie ride in a couple of weeks. Take care, happy riding, love Lizzie.

Congratulations to all those who took part in this monumental ride. I have enjoyed the pictures, stories, and last but not least, the voice message I received from you bikers. What a glorious time you had and the memories will be with you forever. Your trip together may be over for now but all of you continue to ride on for the cure. Keep on keeping on....push your message. Sincerely....Charlie (aka: 57fuelieroadster)

Greetings from the Big Apple- I am sooooo jealous- but happy to see Meredith standing in front of a picture of our US ride- and is that Squirt's little butt I spy in the photo at the hotel? You will be pleased to know that Lori finally took the price tag off her purple Harley hat last night to go to a HOG meeting- she was so excited, she even called to tell me! Thanks for letting us live vicariously- Mercedes
