Can you believe this? Here we are and we are going to acgtually ride tomorrow. I am filled with strange emotions - excitement, joy and sadness for all the other women living with breast cancer who haven't this opportunity to celebrate life as we are about to do. Tomorrow we get our bikes! - Amazing! Thanks to my wonderful family and friends for their support and generosity.
With love to all - Donie

Amazing Gathering

They came from different places with vastly different stories.

The journeys were so different yet somehow very familiar.

Many had never met and still they all knew the pain, the hell, and then the life stories.

Expectations were spoken about – sharing, fun, listening, learning. Harley-Davidson bikes, appreciation, growth, goose bumps and crying.

They were survivors who were destined to meet, soon they became friends who will travel together to who knows where.

It’s a sunfilled perfect morning here in Coogee. I’m sitting on the balcony which shows glimpses of the sea. Can’t believe I’m sharing this frightening yet exhilarating journey.

My thoughts take me back to the Expedition to laceType w:st="on">Mt.laceType> laceName w:st="on">HopelaceName> in New Zealand earlier this year and the emotions Rosy, Anna and Pete talked about on their return. Amazon Heart, thank you for the opportunity to experience this journey.

Love to all,

Ruth

After all the months of anticipation we finally meet! The faces are familiar from the AH website but hearing the stories of every individual makes me feel very emotional and so privileged to be a part of this adventure. The ride home from Eastern Creek today was exciting and I really felt the power of the group!! AH Thunder Down Under is really happening and I am a part of it! Ride on!
