For someone who talks a fair bit, sorry but I am too exhausted to chat tonight. Alls well and I’ll fill you in soon,

Love Sydney Donna

Shed some tears this morning. It was the first time I acknowledged how much I have been through in the past 18 months and how far I have come!

Very hot riding today, great scenery along the way, a taste of what’s to come in the next week.

Many emotions floating around today. Huge amounts of excitement at finally taking off on the official part of the ride. A couple of tear shedding moments at the realization of just how powerful and amazing this whole experience is going to be. The girls are all very special in their own way and we should all be extremely proud of ourselves. I am soooo lucky to be part of all of this.

What a sight to see the bikes going through the tunnel. Just wish I had thought to take a photo. The whole ride suddenly came alive!!! I wondered if the riders felt some of this amazement going through the tunnel.

We have had a few good days in Sydney. The bikes are great and Harley-Davidson have looked after us all so well.

This is my 2nd Amazon Heart Ride in less than a month! The stories and emotions shared by all are very different but still have the same thread…we are all survivors. My Amazon sistas have taught me a lot about myself and I have already made some changes, I plan to continue on this ride and when I finally get home I plan to continue to grow.

My family and loving partner have always been there to support me but really never fully understood the emotional pain I have suffered with breast cancer. This group of ladies have confirmed I am normal and the through and fears running through my head at one stage or another have gone through theirs too.

M & M have placed me as final sweep on this ride and I am loving this role. Gigi taught me so much on the US ride. I can only aspire to be half as good as you. Today I had fun with a Mack truck on Highway 1 when we were leaving Sydney, such a lovely man that we let me change lanes and block for the whole group on more than one occasion then gave me the thumbs up when we went in different directions. I think I will step up to the challenge and keep the 13 bikes in front of me safe for the rest of the journey.

I hope the WIMA girls back home are reading along and keeping up to date with what we are all up to. By the end of the ride I think I may have a few new members to sigh up.

Peace, love and happiness

Squirt a.k.a. Karen

Go Girls, have a great time traveling up the coast to beautiful Brisbane. As some of you have mentioned this will be an experience of a lifetime - a life changing moment with many wonderful memories to take back home. Love you Karen.
