Leaving Newcastle and riding through the unbelievable heat to Gloucester was awesome – the sight of green hills and small farms with dams filled to brimming with water was a glorious sight. I gather from all the visitors to Australia that I was meant to be watching the road and other riders NOT the scenery!!  Not to worry, I am having a wonderful time – the bike is FANTASTIC and so…pretty.

I have plenty of time alone on the bike to think of family and friends.  You have all been wonderful in your generosity and I am so grateful for this opportunity – love to you all – you will all understand if I just keep riding North won’t you?

Squirt you are the best sweep and I love the way you take on all the traffic with such faith that they will give way!!  Edith and Ruth in the van are the best.

Caught my breath now and feeling great.  Sydney was a bit hectic but 8 of us had the first Amazon Heart Night ride through Sydney to Homebush and back to Coogee and it was so much fun.

Frasers Homebush laid on the best fingerfood for us and Harley have looked after us like we are princesses.  That’s Harley riding princesses of course.

In lead of the second group and today we rode like true biker chicks and it was beautiful to watch all the bikes riding through pretty Stroud and Gloucester along Buckett’s Way which was a bit buckety for a while.  I loved to ride from Gloucester along Buckett’s Way to Nabiac, sweeping curves it was awesome.

The bonding’s going well now over a drink and dinner at Taree Aquatic Club and all the girls are laughing, relaxed and chatting noisily about our great day riding.  It has been a fantastic day, another great bunch of Bad Ass Breast Cancer Survivors.  Go Girls.

I feel amazed that I’m here, I feel so alive like I’ve never been sick.  Just being with all these women makes me feel fantastic.  They are so kind, just there for you, makes me feel special.  I feel so free riding like we got no cares in the world.  We’re all family now, like they’re all my sisters.  I’ll be there for them always.

Today was great again.  I was caught up with the emotion of getting the ride underway yesterday.  So today more relaxed and able to concentrate on improving my riding skills.

I am so appreciative to everyone who helped me be part of this incredible experience.  Thank you to all my family and friends an all my sponsors.

Chris.

Today was a different feel compared with previous days.  I feel we are all more confident and starting to relax and enjoy the riding.  Very hot on the ride from Newcastle to Gloucester, but after a lunch break we had a beautiful run from Gloucester to Taree.

I am third from the back and it was an awesome sight to behold the “snake” winding its way through the curves up and down the beautiful valleys.  Hit to all who are following the “blog”.  Thanks to all my family and friends who have made this possible.

I wish I had the words to express how proud I am of you all. Your strength and courage is inspirational. Pardon me for borrowing from another.

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

    Did Eleanor ride a Harley???
Keep the smiles & laughter coming, enjoy every moment and bring my girl home safe

    love to all

Donnie - Glad to hear you are enjoying the ride. Keep riding up to Cairns but try not to look at the scenery so much. Don says Harleys should not be described as "pretty". Have you had your tattoo done yet? Hope your butt is not too sore.

    Hi Meredith, Megan and everyone,

I was a van driver last year...hope everyone has a great time and gets as much out of the ride as I did as a van driver. Take care ladies it's a special time. I treasure my memories of the 2005 ride.

    Regards Ros.
