We woke up this morning to brilliant sunshine again and rising temperatures!

Our bikes were being delivered later in the day to Edinburgh Harley-Davidson, so we had the luxury of a sleep in and a late cooked breakfast at Pollock Halls.

A few of the more adventurous took on an early morning hike up to Arthur's Seat, on the old volcano behind our home base. The van drivers and some eager helpers were at work early as well decorating the vans with suitable slogans and flags so that everyone down the road knows who we are and why we are riding!

We scouted out the perfect parking spot for the bikes right next to the Reception Centre at Pollock Halls, then loaded up in the vans, shuttling back and forward to the dealership.

The bikes were all waiting for us in a line and they looked beautiful! We spent a couple of hours working out the best bikes for each of us to ride, and the Harley jackets that were generously donated to all our first time Amazon bike riders.

Harley-Davidson UK ordered pizza and drinks for us all for lunch, and then the local dealership brought out a birthday cake for Lorraine! Chocolate of course - perfect!

Then it was off for our first group ride! We had an easy run dealing with all the usual hazards of city riding - red lights, roundabouts and then a lovely run up on the road around Holyrood Park and up to Arthur's seat.

The group rode beautifully and enjoyed the lovely views out over the water and back to the Edinburgh Castle and across the city. Then it was back down to Pollock Halls to park the bikes and celebrate a perfect start to our ride!
