Yesterday went to the Harley Rally in Aviemore. Thousands!! of riders. I found out what Scotsmen wear under their kilts!! I was taken on the pillion of a Harley for a ride in the Glens. Over 1500 bikes came with us. Wow. Almost better than sex.

Yesterday was an absolutely awesome day. We got to lead the "ride out" for the Dunedin Chapter who were hosting the "Thunder in the Glens" rally. 1500 bikes participated in the ride our and it was an immensely overwhelming experience to know they were all following us. I think we also had a first as we clocked approximately 160 miles on a practice session. Well done to the UK riders!!

Tracy big 40 today and she has never been to McDonalds. I hope the Hard Rock Café will do (I think it will!) Wot can I say about the last couple of days. It has been the Dog’s B_ _ _ _ _ (well that’s how we put it in Essex Ha Ha!)
Missing my family but having a great time. So nice to meet so many people. It has been great to have Tracy on the back of the bike. She should have some good photos.

I’m not a biker but as a van driver in support I am so impressed with this group of intrepid women. Attitude, guts and sensitivity to say the least. Great girls, great adventure and great reason for doing this. From my position in the sweep van, the formation and skill of these women is second to none. All power to them.

Yesterday was an awesome, wonderful experience never to be missed. Today equally as great in a different way. The whole journey so far never to be missed. Love to you all.

As a Dunedin Chapter member I was so proud of the reception provided by them but I was even prouder of the display and riding skills of the girls in this group. We are all Amazon Warriors. What a way to open our ride and I’m so looking forward to the next week.

Happy birthday Tracy – Fab at 40!
Who was that person that came here on Wednesday? As my fellow friends have said, the last 2 days have been ‘awesome’ but for me riding next to Meredith to lead the ride out to Aviemore was an honor. Two charities working together for a common cause. This experience cannot be repeated. We have hit the longest ride, met the most amazing Scottish people and today the Celtic chapter presented me with the Tri –colour from the naval ship Oisin. Proud to be an Amazon Heart Warrior to be part of this group and of course proud to be Irish! Thank you all for helping me join this adventure.

P.S. Bob the Bike is a great ride!!!
P.P.S. Great riding next to Kirsty. Bob would be proud of his girls!
Amazon Heart have taken me to a place in my own country that I have never been to in my life. Scotland. I want to give a personal thanks to the Dunedin Chapter for their warmth and incredible hospitality in welcoming our ride. I don’t think I will ever forget my first view of guys in kilts and race boots riding Harleys. We spent a very short time with you but you sent us on our way with a fabulous memory. We’ll be back!
Luv and respect to you all.
Liz (Hatters Chapter)
The past 2 days have been one awesome event after another. The countryside is beautiful and the other girls are even more beautiful and this is only the beginning. What a week we have ahead of us!! Hello to all at home and thank you for your support in helping me get here.

How could turning 40 have been any better? Never, ever in my wildest dreams. Here? Edinburgh? With 20ish other women who are like me! They love life! They live life! They are limitless! I love them!
Thank you girlies for being the best friends ever made in a minute. Your support, your encouragement – it makes me soar. The Hard Rock Café T-shirt is a thrill too! Enormous hugs and kisses to Grainne and Kirsty and Karina for making my first full day ride an experience of a lifetime. Thank you all for seeing me joyously into my 40s. You are all the best birthday I could have ever received. A blessing. You are all forever with me.

An interesting day! We started off with a trip to Hadrian’s Wall – lovely scenery, and I can now lay claim to going bald on a National Monument. We had a lovely ceremony, watched by some very hairy cows and two hikers and other discovered I had too much hair to shave. After an excellent ride to Hawes with some of the best twisties ever, we found a lovely hairdresser (Sonja at Hawes) who did me a shave for free and also gave a donation. I’m really touched by how generous people have been. I can safely say I’m having the time of my life with some great people. Shame it’s only for until the end of the week.
Sally
My objectives in taking part on this ride are:
Meet up with old friends – check
Make new friends – check
Have a blast! – check, check, check
