I felt as if I was riding with my old time biker buddies!! It was fantastic! Again, this ride helps me overcome many fears and prove things to myself. Just after the 2nd day, I am fulfilled!! Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings...

Oh...and heading down to the PCH, a girl in the car next to us took off her hat to expose her bald chemo head and thanked us for what we do!!!

I just found out (was reminded) that the last two days were only practice and the real adventure starts tomorrow. Well, if this was just the introduction, I can't wait to see how the journey will continue. This is my first time to be with this amazing group of women. All strangers and yet it feels like I've known them forever. Fun loving, caring women with big hearts and a great desire to enjoy life every day.

Thnk God for putting me here, I'm so grateful.

What a great day! We started out roaring through the city...then rode between the energy forces of the ocean and the mountains on winding roads. We ended up in the most magical town ever! I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone! The whole town was like it was designed for me! I got my thrift store fix (bought some Doc Martin's for $30. And a bellydancing belt and necklace for myself). We visited the Goth Fairy and Mermaid store, and the porno adult store. Had a great dinner with coffee for dessert. Watched a movie in the park and then hung out with the girls - perfect...perfect...perfect...

Well, today we started. Although yesterday was pretty amazing. Traffic sucked but Jay Leno rocked. We got a picture out on the lot after the show and made friends with Andy the security guard.

After a great dinner last night and early to bed we started our advenuture today at California Harley. Nice people and a great BBQ. After that it was all sun and beautiful beaches, down the PCH, through Malibu and on into Ventura.

We had Indian food (Gail's first time) and now 9 of us are all watching "Hot Chick" in our room.

A specail treat - C.C. from AHT 2005, California joined us for the ride and will ride with us tomorrow as well. Can't wait for the next 7 days.

Oh my gosh...yet again, strangers to sista's in 4 days! After getting acquainted, VERY acquainted with our clutch yesterday; today, we were open throttle on the PCH with the beach on one side and the mountains on the other. Sun, sun, sun and fun, fun, fun!!! As we pulled into our hotel in Ventura, we met a bunch of surfers who are here for a surf contest. Super nice people - we got some donations and heard many stories. One guy's aunt lost the battle, and one womean is almost a 5 year survivor!!! This ride is just like the slogan for Harley-Davidson's...."If I have to explain, you just wouldn't understand!" To all you women who understand, this ride's for you!! Miss ya JJ, Laurie and Bonnie.

Roses $5 a dozen...I must remember to give flowers to my friends when they can still enjoy them. So many friends are no longer with us on this ride...I think of them all as I ride past the vast ocean. I'm not sure if the salt I am tasting is from the waves or my tears.

What a day, what a ride. A few of us started out by putting our passenger pegs down so that those riding with us would have a place to rest their feet.

The beach, the canyons, the lakes are all so beautiful. A perfect place and time to reflect and clear my head. Lots of time to think about my girls who are gone before me.

Tomorrow we are off to Cambria. Always a magical place.

Stacy

Another awesome day riding! These women all ride well and are learning each other's style, each mile we ride. Today I was lucky enough to ride sweep of the second group. Wow! The view from the back there gives me chills. Each one riding their own ride, yet moving together as one...

I am truly blessed to be here!

Ride on!

Out of LA, although it was fun, I'm happy to get away for a bit. We got into some twisties, which I thrive on!!! However, the best part was watching one of our girls (Yvette) overcome her fear of downhill curves. She's AMAZING!!! This ride's about overcoming so many things and its so super cool to see these women breaking through them. That's why I do it, year after year. Not only do I work on my issues, but I'm able to feed off watching the other women "get it"!!!

M and M, know that your mission, your dream for starting this is always working. Can't wait until tomorrow...Cambria a truly magical place. It's all about the journey.......
