Wednesday AM

I feel truly blessed and grateful to be a part of this amazing adventure. The ride is awesome and the girls are soooo wonderful, encouraging and supportive. We were strangers just a week ago and now they are family to me. I am so glad I just "showed up" when I tried to talk myself out of coming.

Wednesday PM

Today was amazing - many challenges but we met and conquered them all. The morning was misty and dewey - even some light rain. I think we all were worried that we'd get caught in bad weather but we prevailed - in spite of the heavy winds and the very cold weather. (Thanks for the java, Rhonda!) It was a twisty, curvy ride, but by God's Grace, we all made it safely.

Because of the support, prayers, confidence and strength of my sister riders, I was able to do the ride - I felt so strong - just because they were with me. After all, how could I fail being given the name "The Slayer"? I know I left "the monster" back in Big Sur. I am free! Great thanks to Rhonda for my powerful bracelet and to Gigi for the magic of her necklace.

I arrived on 9-11-07 no knowing anyone. I traveled from one coast to another for a reason. To spread awareness about this evil disease (breast cancer). I have met 10 of the most caring, powerful and amazing women. Each is an individual with so much to offer each of us as we need encouragements. This trip has given me the strength I needed to be able to heal. As I ride and see the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other I find myself getting stronger. There has been a lot of tears and a lot of laughter on this journey. It is about the "journey" no the destination and I feel blessed to be part of it. We have had a lot of people thank us for what we are doing and having the strength to do it!
