Day Eleven - The Finish
Sorry for the delay in finishing the Amazon Heart Thunder US blog. I flew to Australia the day after the ride finished and immediately went into the hospital with appendicitis. Would you believe there was no wireless internet from my bed!!!
The finish was fantastic. We did wake up to a rainy day and a miserable weather report. We decided to skip Sonoma and the vista point. We relaxed at the hotel and finally hit the road at noon. The skies cleared and we had a dry ride and an incredible view riding over the Golden Gate Bridge.
We had a tremendous welcome at Crissy Field from friends and family. Thank you Dad and friends for getting there early to reserve the table, and to Arlene and gang for the incredible Mexican food!!!
Goodbyes were difficult but we all know we will stay in touch and see each other again - lifelong sisters.
Stay tuned for Amazon Heart Thunder Australia which begins October 16!
